Serbian text in 'Latinica'. Born of a Serbian father and Hungarian speaking Jewish mother, Tišma (1924-2003) wrote concerning humanity's search for freedom, and the suffering encountered. Very much of the Central European school of literature: dark and contemplative, yet humanistic and thought-provoking.
