Rare Albatross edition. The Albatross publishing house had a remarkable history in the 1930s (linked to the popular Tauchnitz editions). These colour-coded paperbacks with their albatross symbol influenced Allen Lane in the design of Penguin Books. The name Albatross was chosen as it was similar in many languages.
