Baratchevsky’s ‘Russian Book Shop, London’cancelled stamps to endpapers. Owner name dated 1922 to f.e.p.. 364[iv]pp., 12 full page b/w illustrations as called for, decorative head and tail pieces. In good condition. No loss, internally clean - no annotations. Spine and edges rubbed, erasure to paste-down, minor foxing throughout, small neat repair to first illustration. Vasily Avenarius. Василий Петрович Авенариус, born Wilhelm Heinrich Appolonius Avenarius, Russian writer born in Tsarskoye Selo to a Lutheran pastor.
