Description
Original printed card covers, lap edges, good quality paper all round. No 1134 of 1500 only. A delightful edition with illustrated covers, title, capitals and both in-text and full page illustrations and vignettes by Dobuzhinsky.
Minor damage to spine tail, covers a little darkened, stain affecting top-edge, inner joint cracked. Complete and generally a good copy of this very scarce item.
Mstislav Valerianovich Dobuzhinsky, painter, graphic artist and theatre designer. In his art he "...had a love of the grotesque and potentially fantastic aspects of everyday life..."
