Description
Not dated. Large 8vo., original decorative card covers stamped in silver. Art paper. Gilt and blue lithographic decorations inside to titles. Limited to 2000 copies. A very nice copy of “Blok’s greatest play” (Rayfield 1998).
A good tight copy. Spine head chipped, very small chip to spine tail. A lsun darkening around edges.
Алекса́ндр Алекса́ндрович Бло́к. 1880 - 1921. Roza i Krest, first published in 1913 and produced in 1921. Regarded as Blok's most important play. Mikhail Gnesin (Gnessin),"one of the leading Jewish musical voices to emerge in early twentieth-century Russia" wrote the music for this play.
