Description
Large 8vo., 183[ix]pp., 15 illustrations from photographs (mainly portraits). Text in Russian.
A good copy but mainly lacking fragile backstrip, sewing somewhat adrift. Many sections loose although no loss.
Biography of Alexander Blok, Алекса́ндр Алекса́ндрович Бло́к (1880-1921), by his aunt. Cover design by Ukrainian important artist and illustrator Viktor Dmitirevich Zamirailo. Виктор Дмитриевич Замирайло. “M. A. Beketova, writer, translator and aunt of Alexander Blok. Maria Andreevna is the first biographer of the poet, thanks to whom we know the smallest details about the poet's childhood and youth” (St Petersburg State Museum).
