P/b., stylised 4 tone cover-design 264pp., b/w plates.
A fair to good copy. Tight and clean with a little foxing to covers and usual yellowing of paper within. Some ink annotations inside upper cover.
Interesting as much for the Penguin cover-design as for content. “By the mid 1950s Hans Schmoller had given (Penguin covers) a distinctive cover design which featured a border filled with illustrations. These could be representational or abstract”.
