This is the first English edition. 8vo., original ‘Soviet’ cloth, decorated upper board stamped in black and white, MK logo stamped blind to back. A good copy, tight and clean but cloth rather rubbed from use, paper with usual browning. Known for his 'rattlingly good yarns', Krymov (Yury Solomonovich Beklemishev 1878-1978) was widely read and translated in the 1920s and thirties. Tanker Derbent was first published in the original in 1938.
