Landscape format, cloth-backed printed boards, 79 mainly colour views with captions in Russian, English, French, German and Spanish. Upper board a little bowed, edges chipped in places otherwise tight and clean. No dust-wrapper. Photographs by Raphael Mazelev. Mazelev worked for TASS in Leningrad during WWII. His photographs of that time were frequently reprinted. In 1945 he photographed the Russian invasion of Berlin. From the 1950s Mazelev primarily focused on architectural, urban and tourist photography. His work, featuring Leningrad, Saratov, Kiev and Yerevan, was often published in the form of albums or postcards by a variety of Soviet publishing houses.
