Franjo Rački (25 November 1828 – 13 February 1894), born in Fuzine near Rijeka/Fiume was a Croatian historian, politician and writer. He was a key founder of the Yugoslav Academy of Sciences and Arts and founded influential cultural and scientific journals. His compilations of important old documents are regarded as his major contributions to learning.
