Small 8vo., original ochre cloth,spine lettered gilt, coloured pictorial on-lay to upper board, double page colour frontis., two-tone illustrations throughout, 64pp.. Cloth a little age-dulled else a very good, clean copy. Fantasy originally written in 1841 by John Ruskin for the twelve-year-old Effie Gray, whom Ruskin later married. It was published in book form in 1851, and became an early Victorian classic which sold out three editions
