A very good copy in original blue cloth. xxvii+160pp., folding chart. Foxing throughout consistent with this type of paper, spine ends a little worn and edges rubbed. Zschokke, theologian, scholar, historian and travel-writer was born in Bohemia in 1832. He studied in Vienna, worked as a rector in Jerusalem between 1864 and 1866 and travelled widely around Europe, Russia and North America. He died in 1920.
