Contemporary quarter cloth and paper-covered boards, xxxii+279pp. interleaved for study. Title label detached from spine, all edges frayed and rubbed, boards scratched, internally tight and clean with a few contemporary pencil under-scorings. A sound but a scholar's copy.

Standard Syriac grammar very often referred to in later similar publications. With J Stenhouse's ink inscription dated Tuebingen, 1883 and the note that he'd had the book bound and interleaved in 1884.
