A very nice bright copy in original lithographed wrappers by V Prokopiev, b/w in-text illustrations by the artist. Very rare. No copies in major national libraries.
Clean and tight. Paper browning a little. A little neat pencil underscoring.
Satirical tale, first published in 1869, by Mikhail Yevgrafovich Saltykov-Shchedrin, Михаи́л Евгра́фович Салтыко́в-Щедри́н (pseudonym Nikolai Shchedrin) and prefaced by his biography.
