Original illustrated limp cloth, 128pp., full-page b/w sketch illustrations and b/w plates throughout, index. Light wear, economy paper. Generally good condition with very light signs of wear. Anne Edith (Nancy) Catford Stone, talented sculptor, puppeteer, figurine modeller for Wedgwood, brought up Quaker, worked in Poland, Hungary and G.B. in the Friends Relief Service during WWII. This little handbook was published in answer to the large number of ‘war’ nurseries which had opened up but lacked suitable, safe and sturdy equipment for small children.
