Description

A good copy in original dust-wrapper. Clean and tight. Book very slightly cocked and a little dusty to top edge. Dust-wrapper in good condition but darkened at spine and a little chipped at edges. Used; Very Good Ivan Nazhivin, Russian writer, was a follower of Tolstoy. This book is the story of the Russian Revolution seen through the eyes of dogs. The translator is not given (C. J. Hogarth?). The dust-wrapper illustrator, Dorothy Burroughes, was a designer and lino-cut artist. She designed posters for the Underground Group 1920-1922 and also worked for the The Bystander and Illustrated London News. She became well-known for her illustrations of animals.
