In original green cloth with some 16 sepia views from an album on North Wales loosely enclosed.
Internally clean. Somewhat dusty from storage, spine edges rubbed, cloth a little marked, inner hinge cracked.
Charles Wilkins (1831 - 1913) was born in Gloucestershire. His father became post-master at Merthyr Tydfil in 1898 and Charles succeeded his father in this post. Wilkins wrote prolifically and his major works are: "The History of Merthyr Tydfil", and this History of the Literature of Wales.
