Official Ministry of Defence summary of Nikolai Voznesensky’s ‘Voyennaya ekonomika S.S.S.R. v period Otechestvennoi voini’. “Much interest and some excietment have bee aroused by this book in the United States”. Вознесе́нский Voznesensky (1903-1950) Soviet economic planner, close associate of Alexei Kosygin, oversaw the running of Gosplan during the German-Soviet War. Persecuted during the Leningrad affair, he was executed in 1950.
