Koneski contributed greatly to the standardization of the Macedonian literary language. He compiled the orthography of Macedonian literary language and was general editor of this Dictionary of Macedonian Language: a brief-entry bilingual dictionary, with numerous cross-references for noun and verb forms. Uses 'Latinica' for the Serbo-Croat, Latin taxonomic names for flora and fauna.
