A good, clean, tight copy. Spine head a little frayed, spine edges rubbed else a very good.
F Victor Dickens, lawyer, doctor, botanist and translator of Japanese literature, noted in 1905, that neither Weintz’ Japanese Self-Taught, nor his Hossfeld Japanese Grammar was written in the Hossfeld Method. But otherwise were “unexceptionable, as far as they go, and the phrases they contain are correct and useful”.
