Not dated, scarce. 115pp. in original printed stapled wrappers, mimeographed typescript and illustrations. Staples rusting, covers and contents a little damp marked but a very sound nice copy.

This is the true first edition. Upper cover depicts linocut impression of ancient staff god of Rarotonga. A revised edition was published and reviewed in 1962. (The typing for the publication was done by Mr R. J. Wilson and drawings done by Mr R. D. McEwan - author's note)
