No publication date. Probably early 1900s. ‘J. H. Morris’ Darlington bookseller’s neat stamp to title page. John Hartley (1839–1915) prolific author writing in the Yorkshire dialect. Born in Halifax, Hartley wrote a number of books featuring "Sammywell Grimes" and his adventures and mishaps.
