Later (1931) paper covers, lacking original binding, viii+130pp. A. Neville Whymant's, copy, dated Calcutta 1931 to upper cover, half title and title. Contents sound, tight and clean. The author, from Dublin, had a distinguished military career and wrote also on the siege of Plevna. The preface to this book was written in Peshawar,1875. An interesting association copy: A. Neville Whymant, professor of linguistics, Orientalist and author of a Mongolian Grammar and Colloquial Chinese (Northern), was also involved in and wrote on a famous case of spiritualism (psychic research) in 1925.
