First British edition. Original lettered and decorated green cloth. Title in red and black, 336 pp.. Stylised lettering and decoration on theme of ‘oranges’ by poster artist and author W. S. Rogers. A very nice bright, tight copy, no dust-wrapper. Usual slight browning internally. Nikolai Alexandrovich Leykin Никола́й Алекса́ндрович Ле́йкин 1841-1906. Journalist and prolific writer - mainly of gently satirical work. One of his most popular books ‘Our Folk Abroad’, set in Paris, poked fun at the ignorance and smug boorishness of business men.
