Small neat repairs to title and last pages, no loss. Clean and tight. Joan or Juan Lluís Vives i March (1493 - 1540), Valencian scholar and humanist, is regarded by some as the father of modern psychology. He was born to a family which had converted from Judaism to Christianity. Vives spent much of his life in Bruges and was much admired by both Thomas More and Erasmus. An early (first?) edition of Dialogistica was published in Venice in 1555. One copy in COPAC.
