Original printer's wrappers, 8vo., (printed by T. C. Hansard, Fleet Street), x[ii]+154pp+ii pp. publisher's list. Spine chipped at spine head, corners dog-eared, neat modern owner's name in ink to t.p., but internally fresh and bright. Collectable; Very Good R. Antonio Vieyra Transtagano (1712-1797), a Portuguese emigré who had been teaching in London, was given the first professorship at Dublin for Spanish and Italian. Vieyra also compiled a Portuguese into English Dictionary (1773) of which the poet Henry Longfellow in 1847 remarked “His is the best Portugueze-English Dictionary... “
